The rise in popularity of ecommerce giants has made it increasingly difficult for local brick-and-mortar stores like Newbie and Me to drive foot traffic and compete for market share. Consumer shifts towards the convenience of online shopping platforms over in-store purchases has impacted Newbie and Me’s customer acquisition and sales. On top of navigating lower walk-in rates, Newbie and Me struggles to run digital advertising campaigns that effectively attract nearby high-intent customers at an efficient cost. With tighter budgets, Newbie and Me needed targeted digital marketing strategies to stand out in crowded marketplaces, improve local SEO visibility, optimize high-converting campaigns across channels, and position the brand to better meet consumers’ omnichannel retail expectations in order to thrive.

The team at Kontrola Digital recently implemented a comprehensive paid social strategy across Newbie and Me’s Facebook and Instagram platforms. A key part of this strategy involved installing a Facebook pixel to track important on-site events and bookings. This enables us to accurately retarget users who have engaged with the Newbie and Me website.

Additionally, we leveraged lookalike audiences to find new potential customers that closely match Newbie and Me’s existing customer profiles. Through ongoing campaign optimization and expanded audience targeting, we aim to drive increased website traffic, online bookings, and return visits across Newbie and Me’s digital presence. Our tailored social approach combines precise audience segmentation with strategic creative to showcase the Newbie and Me brand to the right consumers.

Pay-Per-Click

In addition to social media ads, the team at Kontrola Digital set up comprehensive pay-per-click campaigns across Google Ads for Newbie and Me. A key focus was implementing conversion tracking at the booking level to accurately measure the ROI of our ad spend. Campaigns were strategically split to drive both online bookings through search ads as well as in-store visits using display, YouTube, and Google Maps ads via Performance Max campaigns. The cross-channel Google presence allows Newbie and Me enhanced visibility and exposure to relevant audiences as they move across Google’s ecosystem.

By tracking conversions and optimizing for valuable bookings, we aim to maximize the leads and sales driven from paid search while the Performance Max display and video ads increase brand awareness and physical store traffic. Our data-driven approach connects intent-based searchers with impactful display ads that powerfully showcase the Newbie and Me offering to nearby customers..

The Results

Through Kontrola Digital's paid search campaigns, Newbie and Me saw outstanding returns on ad spend. Within the first 5 months, we achieved over 13x return on ad spend (ROAS) across Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads. Cost per conversion dropped to under £0.80 per booking generated from these campaigns. With strong conversion tracking and optimization in place, the campaigns delivered exponential revenue growth and return for Newbie and Me's digital presence.

 

 

Our Facebook ad strategy helped Newbie and Me achieve a ~3% conversion rate on scheduled appointments. Customers who schedule appointments have a higher order value than walk-ins. The approximate ROAS for Newbie was 420% over 4 months.
